The Play Music Method©

Learning is fun, at least here it is. Especially when it comes to music. We value the creative process and the love of music itself. We nurture musical skills utilizing traditional and progressive teaching methods, including improvisation and song-writing to meet the specific needs and desires of each student. If you want your child to learn the basics of music and nurture their passion, your child will learn the basics of music and nurture their passion. If you want to learn the chords to your favorite song, you will learn the chords to your favorite song. If you want to write songs, you will learn to write songs. If you want to perform on stage, you will learn etiquette for performing on stage.

Combination Lessons

Students interested in more than one instrument (including singing) can have a Combo-Lesson. We understand that music is a language, and learning to read and understand it means you can apply it through multiple avenues. Combo lessons include hands-on learning and application using multiple instruments (options listed below) and concepts. Combination lessons are offered at no extra charge.

Adapted Lessons

Music therapists are available to teach adapted music lessons to accommodate those with special needs. While standard lessons can be difficult, adapted lessons can provide an enjoyable learning experience,  making music learning accessible. Scales and theory and sight reading are adapted into creative music improvisations, call and response, visual teaching games, and more.

Performance

We encourage students to participate in performance events as it is an opportunity to receive public support and acknowledgement for their hard work. These experiences are lifelong memories that nurture a personal sense of accomplishment and pride. And really, it is just a great deal of fun for families and friends to all experience together. Please note performance participation is not expected or required.

The following lessons are available:
